Refurbishment and Development
Ocean Magic Retail Shop, Newquay
In July 2003 there was a huge fire to the properties of Cliff Road where considerable damage was caused.
Rob Gutteridge Construction Ltd were called by our client to help assess the damage and carry out temporary works to secure the buildings after the blaze had been extinguished. We then set about procuring the professional consultants to carry out all necessary surveys and commence re-design works of the building. We were appointed as principal contractors to carry out and complete the refurbishment of the fire damage and the redevelopment and refurbishment of the property. This particular contract was completed on time and our clients have an ultra modern retail outlet that would not look out of place in any major city within the UK.
Since the completion of the Ocean Magic retail outlet in Newquay we are currently in the process of refurbishing the Central Arcade in Newquay. This particular project is to refurbish the building and create a bar/restaurant.
Environmental
We were approached by Crantock Plains Farmhouse to carry out the civil engineering works on a new sewerage system that they were hoping to install. This system was the first of its kind in Cornwall where all waste, effluent and water was recycled and purified to be reused around the garden. We have completed the installation of this system, excavating and installing a new drainage system, water tanks and storage tanks. We worked on this project in conjunction with H20K.
Modernisation
Whilst our company has been growing and expanding, we have worked very closely with Anchor - Staying Put, carrying out re-modernisation of properties, extensions and refurbishments, these works being carried out in the North Cornwall District Council.
Conservation
We have historical conservational links with two of Newquay's finest churches: We carry out necessary maintenance works to these buildings and have maintenance contracts and agreements with Newquay Wesley Church and St Michael's Church, carrying out all aspects of maintenance of these listed buildings.
Electrical Division
Carrying out the electrical installation to Cranstar Apartments, Hillgorve Road, Newquay and to Ocean Magic, Cliff Road, Newquay.
